| Jesus Christ “Pantocrator” icon |
Replica – Image mounted on wood – 40 x 70mm
An exact copy of the icon of Jesus Christ the Almighty (Pantocrator), found at the Holy Monastery of Vatopedi on Mount Athos, dating from the end of the 13th century AD. The Son of God, the Godman, is the second person of the Holy Trinity and the founder of Christianity. Divine and human nature were united without confusion or separation in His Divine Person, in the person of God the Word. We find evidence for his Divinity in His unique teaching, His sinlessness, His innumerable miracles, His prophecies and, above all, in His Glorious Resurrection. With His Passion, Death and Resurrection, He saved the human race from sin, corruption and death. Work of iconographer Andreas Lambrou.
